To find a particular nonprofit organization or to search through all of the organizations in your area, you may use the database tools in our help network or web directory. You may search by a specific organization name or by zip code. Once you find the organization you are looking for, click on the organization name and you will be connected to their contact information and more.
To find a volunteer opportunity on HelpNet, enter your ZIP code and click on "Search". You can sort the list at any time by distance or service type. Once you have found an opportunity that interests you, click on the link to send an automatic email notifying the organization of your interest. The organization will then contact you about the volunteer position.
"Virtual" volunteer opportunities can be completed from a remote location, virtually anywhere, usually with a computer, Internet connection, phone, and/or fax. Virtual opportunities do not require the volunteer to be physically present at a specific location. To search for virtual volunteer opportunities, click on "Virtual" and then click on your preferred category.
HelpNet USA remains committed to matching volunteers with nonprofits; however, it is the responsibility of the nonprofits that post opportunities on our site to get in touch with their potential volunteers. If you have not heard from the nonprofit you emailed through HelpNet, please email us with the name of the organization and opportunity you are interested in, and we will follow-up with the organization.
